Happy Pride Month!
This is my set from Saturday night where I opened New City Movement‘s event “Love is the Answer” celebrating Salt Lake City Pride 2022.
I’m really happy with how this turned out. I opened with “Spell” by Satin Jackets — a song about falling under someone’s spell despite not knowing where things might lead. I felt this was a great way to start a story of falling in love… the perfect opening to an event where “Love is the Answer”
The tempo gradually picks up from there, building tension and excitement until breaking out into some super danceable NuDisco vibes.
Other highlights include a little bit of Dua Lipa and a taste of Beyoncé, just for Pride.
I am so grateful to NCM for giving me this opportunity! This was my first ever paid DJ gig and I think it came together really well.
I had an absolute blast playing. It was really nice to have all my friends there to support from the very start.. and then to watch the event fill-in until I had an entire crowd dancing to the beat.
